Genevieve Schmitt Named an “All Kids Bike” Ambassador
April 11, 2022: All Kids Bike names Genevieve Schmitt its latest ambassador to help more children learn to ride a bicycle. All Kids Bike is a movement of the Strider Education Foundation, Inc., a South Dakota nonprofit corporation. The group is on a mission to teach every child in America how to ride a bike in kindergarten PE class, as it values riding as a life skill that provides numerous benefits such as exercise, adventure, transportation, exploration, mobility, competition, independence, socialization, and fun.
“I’m honored to be part of the All Kids Bike ambassador program as it is the perfect complement to the mentorship initiatives I’m developing,” says Genevieve. “How rewarding to inspire youngsters to get on two wheels."
Founder, president and CEO of Strider Bikes, Ryan McFarland, who invited Genevieve to be an ambassador says, "The first bullet point on the list of requirements to take the Basic RiderCourse at the Motorcycle Safety Foundation is 'Must be able to balance and ride a bicycle.' Yes, no kidding!"
Ryan continues, "I’m trying to make sure that bullet point is checked off for everyone by making the learn-to-ride process part of core curriculum in kindergarten so every child has that base skill established. Every child will have a firm grasp on the first rung of the ladder that can take them as far as they want to climb in the bike or moto worlds. Mentors are the key to keep them climbing the ladder as they grow into adulthood."
"I’m so grateful to Ryan and his team for their incredible efforts thus far in getting more children on bikes and can’t wait to join them in promoting the program in my home state of Montana. My motto in life has always been we are blessed when we are a blessing to others.” Click here to see Genevieve's ambassador page, and learn more about All Kids Bike here.
